If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring the inner workings of a legendary starship, going on daring missions with Resistance, or learning the traditional art of wielding a lightsaber, now’s your chance. Disney World’s Galactic Starcruiser Hotel can make all of that come true— at a hefty price.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is touted as a first-of-its-kind revolutionary experience, “part live immersive theater, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza, part real-life role-playing game.” The voyage begins at Walt Disney World Resort terminal, where visitors board a launch pod and blast off into hyperspace. They will then rendezvous with the magnificent Halcyon starcruiser and embark on their own immersive Star Wars adventure.
Throughout the journey, guests will be surrounded by familiar Star Wars characters. They get to test their mettle with a lightsaber, explore the working bridge of the starship, and take a private tour of the planet Batuu. And since this is a choose-your-own-adventure type of game, every participant will receive an unique experience. Weary space travelers can also sidle up to the Sublight Lounge for a refreshing beverage and a casual game of holo-sabacc.
Suites are transformed into spaceship-like cabins while windows are replaced with screens depicting exquisite galactic views.
According to Disney’s sample pricing, a 2-night voyage in a standard cabin will cost $4,809 for two guests or $5,999 for four-guests. This fee includes admission tickets to the Hollywood Studios park as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day on the ship. Guests can travel to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park from the starcruiser during their stay and will have a voucher for a free quick-service meal at the park. Suites will obviously cost more, though visitors will pay less per person the more people there are in their group.
